It is 11.1-inch-screened laptop weighs a mere 1.5 pounds,0.5″ thick and is featherweight with a carbon fiber frame and an aluminum keyboard. Powered by an Intel Atom processor Sony touts that this lappy has a long battery life. plus the usual Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. As any other Sony products, it is very pricey at 2000$.

AMD’s ATI division on Monday announced the first 3D workstation card with an included DisplayPort connection. Workstation graphics from AMD appear to have an edge over its green rivals pretty much since the FireGL team in Germany came out with a next-gen driver for R600-based cards. The strategy to offer more memory and better OpenGL performance at alower cost has started to bear fruits.
